St. John’s Columbarium

Those choosing cremation have the option to choose inurnment in St. John’s Columbarium, located at the church. Applicants for the purchase of niche usage must be members of St. John’s Lutheran Church or another ELCA congregation at the time of purchase. The use of the assigned niche is limited to inurnment of the cremains of the family of the applicant only, family meaning “applicant and spouse, the descendants and parents of each, spouses of descendants, and any adopted descendants.

Applicant(s) may select the location of the niche(s) from those available at the time the application is approved.

Cost—Covers the cost of the niche, urn(s), and engraving at the time of inurnment.*
All payments are due at time of purchase.

Companion niches with two urn—1,500
Single niche with one urn—$1,000

*Engraving of the niche plate shall be of a uniform script, limited to a number of characters as determined by the Board, and shall be limited to the name(s) of the decedent(s), date(s) of birth, and date(s) of death. There is an additional fee of $250 for pre-engraving of name and date of birth at the time of purchase.
